I love French film. It's all about people not plot and that's what makes them so refreshing to me. Beart leaves her deadbeat husband to work for an older man most enamored of her while getting the hots for his book publisher then discovering she still has big feelings for her deadbeat husband whose best buddy is still in love with her from years past. The "working" relationship between Beart and Michael Serrault (the older gentleman) is a conversational dance that turns to a tango over time and most interestingly developed. The ending is typically French: abrupt.
