V for Vendetta

I was looking forward to this but ended up being pretty disappointed - it seems dated, despite the topical theme, not very subversive at all.
The acting was wooden (Hurt going over the top, as usual) and Portman one dimensional.
I was expecting something more edgy, original, than re-hashed 1984 themes.
Still, it has a happy ending.
