Ever been to Mea Shearim? Of course not.
Amos Gitai took a shot at something that he really didn't understand that well and made a very flawed film.
As an Orthodox Jew (minus the black hat and beard), I did find that some things were accurate, but that others were absurd (nobody shouts like that in synagogue, nor do they pray like that).
He hates the Haredim in Jerusalem and made a film about it.
The lead actor (the husband) was the most realistic character.
Also...where were the kids?
Mea Shearim and the Haredim who live there have a bus load of children.
Average film.
