Stanley Kramer produced and directed this taut look at the later Nuremberg triels, these involving German judges. There are a number of "A" list stars, among them Spencer tracy, Burt lancaster, Richard Widmark, Marelne Dietrich, Judy Garland, Maximillian Schell, Montgomery Clift, and William Shatner. The story alternates between tha actual trail, at wich Tracy is part of the sitting tribunal, and Tracy's attempts to get to know the German citizenry. The camera work (black and white wide screen) is stunning, with many moving closeups in the courtroom. All in all, a very moving film, one that one can return to again and again.
