A father and daughter card shark team (Charles Cobern and Barbara Stanwick) try to cheat a rich heir to a brewing family's fortune (Henry Fonda) on a ship. Stanwick ends up falling in love with Fonda. What ensues is a series of madcap situations involving the two, and Fonda ends up marrying Stanwick twice (don't ask). William Demarest plays Fonda's unwanted bodygurad. A Preston Sturges classic from the thirties, where this type of fantasy movies lifted Depression era spirits.
