To achieve the film's icy cold look Huston had the color film printed on black and white stock.You'll now want to see the DVD's of the TV mini-series with Patrick Stewart as Ahab, which is truer to the book. In it. Peck plays the Welles Father Mapple role. Peck, incidently, did not like his performance as Ahab and refused to give Stephen Spielberg permission to show a anippet from "Moby Dick" in "Jaws".
