As this thriller opens professor Jeff Bridges finds a neighborhood boy injured and takes him to the local E.R. He and his grad student girlfriend (Hope Davis) start a relationship with the boy's parents (Tim Robbins and Joan Cusack). Bridges is a widower, his FBI agent wife having been killed in a botched raid. Over time Bridges and later Davis begin to suspect Robbins of a shady background and Bridges investigates, with the help of an FBI agent friend. The last half hour is all action as Bridges tries to thwart a terrorist bombing of a Federal building. I enjoyed this more that Ebert did.
