Iwas both moved and disappointed...

It takes very very little for me to be moved by most any depiction or description of the events of that day but I wasn't moved until after they were trapped and even then it was a slow buildup to their rescue... the sheer heroism/determination of the rescuers/survivors to save them was extremely moving.

Where I was disappointed was in the overall feel and in he depiction of the attacks and the reactions to them.

In U93 those things were devestating with a level of you are there realness and loads of nuanced, genuine feeling details.

In WTC that part of the movie felll flat. The details and reactions didn't feel real and while I know you can't recreate that scene on film exactly it felt so much like a set (especially with all the perfectly fine - untorn, unburnt and clean - paper floating around). It also didn't have the "OH MY GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS GOING ON!!!!!!!!"-ness that the day and that U93 had.

I did think N Cage did an outstanding job with his NY'ness and was extremely believable as PAPD seargant. I also thought he did an excellent acting job while trapped.

All in all it was worth seeing as it shines a light on one of the lesser known aspects of that tragic day.
