Tom Behringer is a veteran cop from Queens happily married to former cop Lorraine Bracco, who is fond of salty language. They have a young son. Behringer is assigned to guard a rich and beautiful society woman from Mahhattan (the beautifuo Mimi Rogers) as part of a rotating nthree man team. She is a key witness in a trial involving a vicious mobster. Behringer draws the graveyard shift and over time falls in love with Rogers, who encourages him. A series of incidents lead to Behringer's family being threatened. Some of these are a bit far fetched but by then you are involved with the chraracters and go along. Good fun and several great renditions of the title tune.
