Yeah, it was slow but well done... but slow

Did I mentione that it was slow?

As a Bukowski fan I felt I had to see it and I thought everyone did a good job. I was surprised that Matt Dillon pulled it off as well as he did but I felt he really embodied something about Bukowski... something about charisma/confidence; and about having that even while struggling just to survive.

I mostly appreciated the director's handling of the movie as he was portraying a life in which for long stretches nothing was really happening but he went too far in my opinion and made me wish for it to end.
