Ford volunteered for the Marines in WWII.
"Blackboard Jungle" and "Experiment in Terror," I think, are his best films.
No actor portrayed an even-tempered, fair, but tough guy better than he.
Of Welsh/Canadian descent, Ford hailed from one of Canada's prominent families.
