I saw this yesterday and agree with your observations. I do think that Reeves remained in "From Here to Eternity" (he's listed in the cast in IMDB but as uncredited). I think they went a little overboard with the sepia tone coloration and everyone ended up looking like a French fry. I thought the costuming was extremely well done. At times (especially when he's playing Clark Kent) you actually believe that Ben Affleck IS George Reeves. I think the whole thing is very well done, a sort of mixture of "L.A. Confidential" and "Citizen Kane". Others have criticized the casting of Brody but I thought he was just fine.

- He was also good in Shakespeare In Love, but sadly, his big budget "star" vehicles tend to suck pond water. (nt) - Audiophilander 09:44:21 09/11/06 (0)
- Just got back from "Illusionist" -- Norton would have been perfect for the Brody role. * - mr grits 17:37:21 09/10/06 (1)
- Both films are excellent, but I thought Brody was as fine in Hollywoodland as Norton was in The Illusionist. (nt) - Audiophilander 09:51:18 09/11/06 (0)
