In Harvard Square Diane Keaton plays a mother in an unhappy sexless marriage who is left with her six year ood daughter by her up tight ex husband. The relationship remains polite and amicable. Keaton then meets struggling sculptor Liam Neeson and they begin a torrid affair. Both are extremely casual about nudity and sexulaity and this leads to a strange incident (done off cmera) where Neeson is alone with the little girl and she surprises him in the shower. When she asks if that is his penis he says yes and ALLOWS HER TO TOUCH IT! How effin' over the top is that? Naturally the ex husband gets wind of the incident and sues for sole custody. Keaton's lawyer is Jason Robards and he vainly tries to defend Keaton and the actions of Neeson. Leonard Nimoy direcxted this film, which is based on a novel by Sue Miller. I found it difficult to sympathize with Keaton ans especially Neeson. Nudity maybe OK but letting a six year old fondle you is crazy and perverted.
