I looked forward to DVD as a more "functional" and user-friendly alternative to LD's. And for the more part it has lived up to my expectations. BUT, I cannot seem to invest in my own collection becasue I am only going to spend my cash on films that are presented in the format thatthey were intended to be seen! Not elongated and 'morped! How agritavating to see a DVD on the shelf advertised as "Widescreen" only to read the fine print "ammorphic" or "enhance for large screens"...GIVE ME MY ORIGINAL ASPECT RATIO!!!
Where can I complain!!?? And thank the lord for companies like Creiterion!!
