That out of over 100 movies that he made (not that I have seen most of them)!Perhaps just another case of Kibrick being able to take a mediocre actor (O'Neil, McDowell) and produce a spectacular results. To bad his last one failed in that respect - but we already spent too much time on that one.
One thing for sure, I would rather watch York than many others, his sophisticated British flavor carrying him through. At the very least, he is not offensive.
As far as Ron Jeremy enjoying himself - not sure. As far as I understand that idustry, making these films is not about pleasure, it is about tight schedules, budgets, and doing *it* on a que. Last thing the producers worry about is what the stars feel.
