Perhaps he could take on the majority of the action scenes.
I don't really see how this would be any different than replacing James Bond over and over throughout the years, although my favorites are still pretty much the oldest to the newest; Sean Connery is probably still my favorite Bond. I don't see the new guy pulling it off for my taste in Bond actors.
