Watched Jarmusch's "Dead Man' last night.

I tried to watch it once a while back and couldn't get into the pacing and mood but last night it just clicked for me (maybe that fact that I was prepared for the original Solaris - which I didn't notice hadn't shipped because there was a wait - helped).

I was really drawn into this film... it's beautifully shot , well written, acted and directed. Has humor, depth and poignancy and was a thought provoking journey from life to death and what it means to be fully alive and to die well (all the while expolring the nature of violence). I thought it was a nice sort of meditation for a couple of hours.

Highly recommended with the cvaveat that one should be in the mood for a very quiet 2 hour movie.

Don't piss on my shoe and tell me it's raining.
