It is kind of funny to hear the complains about this 3 hour masterpiece from those who had wasted many hours on trash like LoTR that does not engage a single brain cell.Solaris invites you to think, to meditate along, and its slow pace makes it perfect for that - instead of just gobbling up the shit some Hollywood maker shovels your way with no pause or break.
View it in one shot, you will see what the artist is trying to tell you.
Don't you folks EVER sit by the lake watching the waves and fish playing? Are computer games all you can now swallow?
How about poetry? Art? Are you like those Japanese tourists parading in quick pace through the Louvre's rooms? I saw this... check... I saw that... check... next room...
