It would be difficult to cite a more readily likeable movie than this down river adventure starring two of Hollywood's best and brightest (Bogart and Hepburn), who have amzing chemistry throughout. Director John Huston and critic/screenwriter James Agee (who had a heart attack and was replaced by Peter Viertel, who wrote a book about this) adapted C. S. Forester's African WW I adventure. Bogart w0n his only Best Actor Oscar for this performance. I have stuck with the laserdisc since the DVD copies are not any better, a thorough remaster not yet having been undertaken. A true classic.
