The Last King of Scotland: Love Him and Leave Him

Not a very quality looking film, indeed. In fact, I'm going to presume they wanted it to look that way to make up for lack of budget. The story of the Scottish doctor who "accidentally" became an Amin insider is intriguing. The problem is it confuses one into thinking Idi was an "okay" guy for most of the movie. We are not being consciously bombarded by the horrific but slipped into it little by little with the horrors coming on board at a faster pace near the end. I would be interested to know how much of this is grounded in the truth.

Whitaker did a great job but I wonder if he was on screen enough of lead?
