This drama starring Sterling Hayden and already 50 yo Barbara is not a great revelation overall, but it still manages to keep you interested enough to continue. And along the way it makes a few poignant psychological observations, what make the viewing worthwhile. These are somewhat hidden below the surface, so pay attention or you will miss them.Of a particular interest was the conflict between Barbara and Anthony Pope towards the end. This blast of reality was welcome and is not too common in that era of largely made-up characters.
I haven't seen this film before, and I certainly don't regret renting it.
