I took your recommendation and rented this last night (I had it on my Netflix list but there's no way it would get here in time). I also have Fitzcaraldo here but, obviously, will put it aside in favor of the screening.What a crazy pair those two were... and Herzog... who almost seems like an innocent victim of Kinski's madness turns out to be just as mad and a MASTER manipulator as well.
Too many laugh out loud moments to recount but WH is quite a storyteller.
I was also taken by how matter of fact he was in recounting people getting hurt in plane crahses or cutting of their own feet or getting injured when Kinski bashed them over the head with a sword or getting thrown through air and cracking open their hand and head, etc.
Thanks for the tip... this'll make Staurday more fun.
