I was disappointed in this sequel from Judd Apatow, the same writer/director behind The 40-Year-Old Virgin. While I found the latter to be hilarious, even gut-busting in places, Knocked Up isn't worth the price of admission, even at the $1.00 theater.
I know, sequels aren't supposed to be good, but 92% of reviewers at rotten tomatoes recommend it . . . what were they smokin'?
There is hilarious dialogue exchanged toward the end between the black doorsman (outside a nightclub) and one of the female leads. Other than that, the material is mostly "miss" and the movie runs way tooooooooo long (2 hrs 9 minutes).
Katherine Heigel is gorgeous, but Seth Rogen simply isn't believable in his role.
Instead of writing clever dialogue, the writer(s?) opted to overuse the "F-word" ad nauseum ad infinitum.
Sorry to be so negative, but caveat emptor.
