Liz' Golden Age: Jury's Out and Grits is too....

Don't know what to say....this one has a full dose of Mirren's emotional hysteria mixed with melodramatic gravitas, beautiful costumes, and pretty art direction. Cate did well and Geoffrey gave a seamless performance. Clive, well, he was Clive doing Errol Flynn doing Walter Raleigh.

What I found interesting is at the Armada's defeat Francis Drake's name was never mentioned....I believe he was the "fire ship" genius that saved the day.

I'm going to open it up here to what others think. I'm sure Cate and most history buffs will be pleased but not critically juiced.
