I cannot possibly believe that Roberts could both, be the investigating cop, and then, after passing the bar, be the DA prosecuting the case. That is nearly impossible in criminal law. There would be too much confusion to the jury between when he is acting as a witness and when he is acting as an attorney (where the judge tells the jury that EVERYTHING the attorney says is NOT EVIDENCE; only what witnesses say). Possibly he did not testify as a witness, but that would be such a loss to the case he should be fired as DA, maybe he was.
