of a modern classic but I'd not seen it.
Three young women all have different goals in life and the film both shows their efforts and, by jumping twenty years into the future, the results.
Not a particularly subtle film, it nonetheless works because of the fine acting of the principal (the film centers the most on one), though the partyer is well-played, as well.
Not up to the Fassbinder trilogy of post-WWII women (BRD) but awfully good entertainment.
The lover who enters near the latter quarter of the film has a remarkable stage presence...
