Films are usually fit into categories or genres: comedy, drama, westerns,
horror, war, and so on. These categories are usually in the background
of my mind when I make comments about movies or review them. It would be
unfair to pit war movies against other categories concerning the question
I asked; that's why I made that distinction. I realize there are "gang-
warfare" films and westerns that feature large conficts, like the U.S.
Army vs the indians, where many bullets fly around; but they just don't
compete with large scale military conflicts like WWI,WW2,Korea,Vietnam,etc.
BTW, have you seen "The Gauntlet" and compared it to "Hard Boiled" in
bullet terms?
