Was "The Vanishing" the film in which a man's wife disappears at a road stop and he spends the rest of the time trying to find out what happened to her, only ending up suffering the same fate? Truly horrifying.A Japanese horror film recommendation: "Kwaidan". This is a beautiful quadrilogy of horror and I'll never forget the opening story (like "Kurosawa's Dreams") or the one with the priest covered with writing to protect him. Very impressive on Criterion's laserdisc.
