Given the cast and Oscar, we expected a good film. Given the cast and the Oscar, this movie was really really bad. Dull. Plodding. Ridiculously implausible and contrived situations. The "gritty" bit is way overdone. I simply don't need to see Kate B using a bedpan. The whole PC agenda is as subtle as a pack of bikers in your rear view mirror. How does such crap attract stars and $$...let alone an Oscar.
