This trailer seems to avoid the singing. The few seconds where we see and hear Depp singing does not bode well. "Sweeney Todd" is one of the greatest pieces of American music theatre, period. It's score is extremely demanding bordering on the operatic.

To no one's surprise, this trailer reinforces my hunch that Tim Burton is emphasising the gothic horrow elements. Nothing wrong with that but let's not forget SW is, first and foremost, a musical!
