I've been using Netflix for a almost two years now. Up until about 6 months ago, I was very pleased with their service. When they went to their new plan, the service has gone WAY downhill.Right now, all new releases have a status of, "LONG WAIT". It takes several months for the demand of the new releases to die down, before you'll ever get a new release. I have sent COUNTLESS emails to them complaining about this, and I always get the same response. "We are working with the studios in trying to get more titles. We are constantly trying to improve our service to you. Thank you for your enquiry.".
I wouldn't count on having 4 new movies every week. It often takes them 1 - 1.5 weeks to receive your DVDs once you send them back. Once they receive them, since your top picks will more than likely have a "LONG WAIT" status, they will wait at least 24 hours before sending the next movie. I've waited as long as 4 days for them to send the next movie in my queue. Then you wait another 3-5 days for the movie to arrive. So, quite often, from the time you send a movie in, till the time you get it's replacement, it's often 1.5 - 2 weeks later.
They have a great idea for a service here, but until they start carrying more copies of each title, it's not worth the money. I can run down the street and get the new releases. They're always in stock, and I don't have to wait 4 months to get them!
