Just saw Mysterious Skin - wow!

I missed this when it was in the cinemas. I thought it was fantastic - great acting, great characters, great original storyline, etc. Although the subject matter was gruesome (Vic - don't watch this or you will die of apoplexy!), it was handled so well and intelligently.
I couldn't find much discussion of this movie in the archives - has anyone else seen it? Am I deluded in thinking it's a minor masterpiece?
