I liked the movie... a lot. Found it easy to care about what was happening and didn't want it end... like I was spending time with people who's company I enjoyed.
I was especially impressed with Elizabeth Taylor... not her acting, per se (although maybe it had to be that)... but a quality she gave her character... a wise and nurturing quality that is rare for any 23 year old to have or project.
It was also the first time I've seen James Dean (I mean I watched Rebel when I was probably 10 but don't remember it). The main thing that struck me was how much other actors have tried to emulate him... the way he carries himself, his facial expressions, etc. One of the first people who came to mind in that regard was Brad Pitt (it's like he took equal parts JD expressions/mannerisms and his own sense of being a ham/clown and mixed a cocktail).
