Yep, we got another man killer virus loose in Scotland. This one is hemorrhagic and spreads like wildfire. The Brits manage to build a modern Hadrian's Wall and lock out the Scottish population. 35 years later spy photos show human activity in Glasgow which means that a cure may have been found. The "government" sits on this discovery for three years until an outbreak occurs in London which precipitates the need to find out what is really going on is Glasgow.
Knock out Rhona Mitra is assigned to lead a team into the city of her birth to seek out the answer to the virus. Her armchair commander is the crusty, expletive-spewing Bob Hoskins. Both are being manipulated by the Prime minister and his deputy who have different ideas about the real solution to the virus.
This is a totally Brit action movie with some nice effects (particularly severed heads). We see Mad Max goes to Scotland with the good Dr. Hanes (Malcolm McDowell) gone mad in his newly adopted Medieval world.
Unfortunately, there is not one thing you haven't seen before in the post apocalyptic genre.
