Got them from Netflix, after having read a review at DVD Talk.Partial summary provided by rottentomatoes:

Though required to remain in East Germany after his release from prison, Harry narrowly escapes just as the Berlin Wall is being completed. He successfully flees the oppressive Communist regime, but his beloved sister and her family are unable to join him. Harry is determined to rescue them, and aided by his best friend— engineering genius Matthis Hiller — the idea of the tunnel is born. . . ."
This is a long movie (169 minutes), but it is well crafted and well acted.
There is one particularly effective scene where a woman (on the West Berlin side) and her fiance (on the East Berlin side) are separated by a wall of concrete bricks (the camera POV is from above).Highly recommended.
