One of the funniest films I've seen in years; satirises the Kung Fu genre mercilessly and draws heavilly on Marx Bros + 3 Stooges slap stick as well as a nod to Quentin Tarantino over-the-top violence + special effects
A flawless cast ( the landlady with the curlers in her hair and a permanent cigarette is a scene stealer )
While some of the more subtle humor is undoubtedly lost in translation ( the cute girl who sheds a perfect digital tear is wearing Chinese Opera makeup for eg. ) there's more than enough going on here to tickle a Western funnybone
