French film from 2006. Quite distinctive and authentically captures the period (1960-198*). About one young guy's struggle coming to terms with his homosexuality.

Do not let the theme be a barrier to watching the film as it is no gayfest, just a very human portrait of a young man's confusion, growing up in a time when it was very tough to face the possibility of being gay with a popular, hetero and opinionated father's refusal to accept 'gay' as being a feasible part of a person's nature.

A worthy family study, some impressive cinematography and a touching tale.
