I saw SECONDS for the first time last night. I must say this is FILM NOIR on the classic scale. I'm still thinking about it. Tossed in my sleep all night about it! I really think this is in the class with VERTIGO. There is no much technical brilliance with mobile cameras before the advent of steadycam or sleds when you consider this was made in 1965. This was also one of the first American films that was almost totally Foley looped. Saul Bass titles, Jerry Goldsmith music, James Wong Howe's cinematography is wonderful! To anyone serious about film this IMHO is a must see! Frankenheimer recorded a director's comment track on the DVD. Ray Hughes
"A discriminating irreverence is the protector and creator of a democratic society." Mark Twain
