is a brilliant fantasy seen through a child's eye and better than "Pan's Labyrinth."
Tarsem uses NO digital "cheating" in his films which are part of the fun aspect. Consequently, the film is far more realistic looking and much more entertaining.
Don't let your race-based prejudice, which your Bollywood comment appears to be, stand in the way of seeing this. His only other film, "The Cell," also betrays no Indian (I'm almost embarrassed to have to say it, Patrick, to you) Bollywood influences.
