My belief is that anything done to "normalize" normal people...

...who some don't consider normal is a good thing. Certainly African-Americans deserved and deserve to be fully "normalized," as do homosexuals.

I think the *real* problem is when we, as a society, *don't* do everything we can to normalize people who are, inherently, normal.

Invisibility is one of the most powerful ways that a group can be "abnormalized." Certainly was the case for African Americans for many years. I know I wouldn't want to be "abnormalized." Would you?
