The Ayatollah, as reprehensible as he is to us Westerners, is a thoroughly Iranian leader and not a US puppet.
Anyhow, it's a very good film.
Now, see, "A Taste of Cherry."
It's about a guy about your age, post-Iran/Iraq war.
It is nothing less than brilliant.
Kiarastomi is one of the greatest living directors, ranking up with modern film's greatest, period.
