Many have already selected their players for upscaling capabilities, the Oppos especially (through HDMI).

But if you have a 1080p display, the BD players sure make BDs look pretty onn the screen. Of course, most of us have tons of SD DVDs, some of which (many of which?) may never see a BD release. So good upscaling is welcome, as is region free ability to convert PAL>NTSC for those imported discs.
