"Open envelope-insert disk-return to envelope-leave for mailman" is sufficiently slick for me. Netflix became a great success by removing the major hassle of the video rental...pick-up/drop-off. Netflix would commit suicide going to web delivery. Cable companies would simply blow them away with on-demand content. Web-based music and movies is PITA for people who don't spend their time online or watch movies on a 15" screen.
BTW, I was at Barnes and Noble yesterday shopping for CDs, and found that actually flipping through CDs and listening to samples was a whole lot more relaxing than screwing around online with iTunes etc. We're chasing terrorists in the wrong place...they're on Wall St.
