Released in '03, this Danish power-family drama cut with a razor showing the transformation of the prodigal son drawn back into the family's business after his father's death.
Ulrich Thomsen shines as the deep, brooding scion who reluctantly (at first) takes the rings of a business in trouble and soon tranforms into a man obsessed with the success of his family's business at the cost of all his personal relationships.
This film has been talked about here before but it should be seen by all. Serious, mature, methodically paced, it is compelling storytelling.
