...and choosing Jackman rather then someone funny was not the best choice - noticed he wasn't there much.
But otherwise, the show and production were about average as Oscar telecasts go.
The acceptance speeches were't s bad a previous years with a couple of exceptions. Awardees, speaking for a group, thanking their children. And their wives. Or a long list.
The highlight of the show was Phillip Petit, the Man on a Wire, accepting for Best Documentary, showing a little sleight of hand and balancing the statue on his chin.
Overall, pretty predictible winners and a decent, if not memorable, show.
Bring back comedy next year.
