And I am only half joking!
This is the latest cgi kids' film from Dreamworks and just released here although we didn't get to see the 3-D version, but never mind.
As is par for the course these days, the film is very "knowing" and contains references to any number of other films, most of which are easily read, but the main one is the leading military guy who bears an uncanny resemblance to a certain mad general from Dr. Strangelove...
The film is a zippy 80 minutes which is short enough for most kids; the 7 year old was engrossed (And I hope not just in the large popcorn) for the entire thing but the 5 year old cried off and preferred a BBQ saying it looked scary.
So it goes.
The film concerns a bride to be infected by radiation from a crashing meteorite/piece of space garbage which turns her into Ginormica... and that's all I'm saying.
The monsters are loveable, the aliens are... alien and the action pretty much non-stop.
A very enjoyable romp of a movie.
