This is about 3 middle aged children dealing with the aftermath of their mother's death; finding out she was human, dealing with how they are not children themselves and with their own lives.
It is a lovely "small" film, although anyone who thought nothing happened in The Band's Visit (!) is advised to think twice before seeing it.
It doesn't really have an ending allowing the characters to leave the film with things to do, places to be.
Life goes on.
