The only "leaking" I heard about, was a nearly completed version of the film, one just missing the finished CGI work. It was a rough cut that probably closely resembled the final product. The piracy would have had no affect on creative design of the movie. If it wasn't great, that was due to the film makers. Just the nature of the beast. Now, there was probably some serious damage (in the millions of dollars) done to the box office grosses. It may have adversely affected the length of it's planned theatrical release. And who knows what that means regarding future budgeting on that project. Will it minimize a dvd release? Or even a theatrical re-release? Piracy is evil.
