I sawr the full-length version for the first time last night and howled at the antics in this extended version of the award winning short film. The above clip is from the short and the rest of the film flows seamlessly from the original. It was quite a feat to take 20 minutes and come up with enough ideas to expand it to 108 minutes. But, it worked and worked well.
The film follows Ben, an art student, through his failed romance and how he copes by taking his night shift supermarket job. There he meets a crew of stereotypical blokes, who set back Brit culture a hundred years, and a lovely young cashier to whom he becomes attached. Ben also develops a method for stopping time while on shift with some very hilarious and risque results.
The camera uses unusual perspectives which keeps the artistic eye interested. Worth a watch.
