Starred Steve McQueen and Karl Malden, who very convincingly played a sadistic SOB. He was memorable in all his roles, whether playing a priest, a cop, a dirt farmer, or a miscreant. He was, without a doubt, one of the premier character actors of his time.
"Nevada Smith" is quite a good film. You should see it when you have a chance.
